Ascension Food Pantry under the Patronage of St. Anthony of Padua
Ascension’s Food Pantry was established by parishioners desiring to address food insecurity in our neighborhood. Presently, the food pantry provides 140-160 individuals, predominantly senior citizens, with grocery bags of non-perishable food items and toiletries not covered by government assistance programs. On the first Saturday of each month, volunteers gather at 9 a.m. in St. Michael’s Hall to assemble grocery bags for our neighbors. New volunteers are always welcomed to join us. For more information, please contact the Parish Office at
St. Chrys’ Closet
St. Chrys' Closet opened its door in August 2024 to assist newly arrived migrants. St. Chrys' Closet is open each Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. You can learn more about the program in a recent Episcopal News Agency article. For more information on how to donate items or volunteer, please contact Liz Kohlbeck at
Seasonal Opportunities
Throughout the year, the parish organizes service opportunities for parishioners and friends of the parish to support local non-profit agencies and their clients. This includes preparing lunch and dinner meals as well as participating in holiday collection drives. To learn more about what’s going on at Ascension, please sign-up for our newsletter.
